Cuyahoga Falls City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Council committee meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in order to allow councilmembers to publicly discuss pending legislation that will be voted on at regular meetings. The public is free to comment on pending legislation during the allowed time set aside as part of committee meetings.
New Ordinances & Resolutions
A-36: An ordinance authorizing the director of public service to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, with a contractor or contractors, for concrete pavement repairs to various streets. Assigned to the finance committee for discussion May 18.
A-37: An ordinance approving the application to expand the Downtown Community Cuyahoga Falls Entertainment District within the Downtown Cuyahoga Falls area; making certain findings in connection therewith. Assigned to the community development committee for discussion during a public hearing set for June 15 at 6:30pm

Planning & Zoning:
A-21: An ordinance approving text amendments to the Cuyahoga Falls General Development Code, adopting regulations regarding best management practices for storm water facilities, as more fully described and depicted herein, and declaring an emergency. Passed 10-0.
A-34: An ordinance accepting the recommendation of the planning commission for the construction of a 26,000 sq. ft. addition for the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA) located at 4687 Wyoga Lake Road. Passed 10-0.
Finance & Appropriations:
A-35 An ordinance authorizing the Parks and Recreation Board to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, for the installation of a pre-fabricated ADA-compliant restroom at Valley Vista Park. Passed 10-0
In the reading of petitions, claims, communications, and reports of city officials , the clerk informed council that the Department of Commerce Department of Liquor Control received a new application for a liquor license at 1757 State Road doing business as Laff Bar Comedy Club LLC.
During Miscellaneous Business council voted 10-0 to excuse the absence of Councilwoman Loza from tonight’s meeting.
