This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available May 13 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

4-30  Police  responded to a call for a male urinating behind a sign while standing on the Howe Ave exit ramp. An officer made contact with the male who stated he did not. The male was warned for disorderly conduct and advised to find a restroom.

5-4  Police responded to a Trespass at department store in the 400 block of Howe Avenue. The store Asset Protection stated that a known male was asked to leave and refused. The store stated that the male was trespassed before and continues to come back. Officers identified the known male and escorted him off the property and advised him that he was formally trespassed for one year. The store declined prosecution.

5-5  During a traffic stop a 44-year-old Lorain man was arrested for a warrant out of Lorain county. Officers found on his person four strips of Suboxone, a schedule three drug of abuse, eight tablets of Trazodone, and a pink snort straw with white powder in it. The suspect did not have any proof that he had a prescription for the Suboxone or Trazodone. The suspect was transported to Summit County Jail for his warrant. The suspect was also arrested for Possession of drugs with a prior conviction, Drug paraphernalia, Possession of dangerous drugs. 

5-5  A manufacturing plant in the 2900 block of Vincent Street reported that a known employee stole a company credit card and made several purchases totaling $1922.86 over several months. The company is interested in prosecution.

5-6  Police conducted a traffic stop on a white Jeep for driving without headlights. Officers found the driver to be driving under suspension. They conducted field sobriety tests and found the suspect not to be impaired. Officers did find a small plastic baggie containing a white crystallized substance. The man was cited for driving under suspension and drug paraphernalia The suspect’s vehicle was towed to B&B Towing.

5-6  Police responded to a theft call in the 1500 block of Hunters Lake Drive where a 79-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man stated that an unknown suspect stole his mountain bike that was on his back patio. The victim stated the bike totaled $500. There are leads or suspects. The man stated he does not want to prosecute.

5-6  The manager of a restaurant in the 3600 block of Wyoga Lake Drive reported to police that someone had been “partying” at the business after hours. He stated that there were 22 bullets, beer/liquor containers, and a cigarette pack in their dumpster this morning that was not there the day before. An employee stated he found the items while throwing things away. The manager stated he did not want to prosecute but would like extra patrols.

5-7  During a traffic stop on Howe Avenue and the city limits with a Chevy Cruze,a probable cause search of the vehicle yielded an unlabeled plastic bag with raw marijuana, an Apple airbag box with raw marijuana, and one cut straw with white residue inside. The driver was cited for drug paraphernalia and warned for other violations.

5-7  Police took a report at a convenience store in the 2800 block of State Road where the manager reports an unknown male stole a door off of the store’s dumpster. The manager does wish to prosecute but is unsure of the cost to replace the door. There are leads at this time.

5-8  Police were called to a membership store in 1100 block of Buchholzer Boulevard for a theft report. The manager reported that a known employee defrauded the store of approximately $1,741.82. On multiple occasions, the employee processed fraudulent refunds to herself without returning the associated merchandise. The manager stated that the store intends to pursue criminal charges if the employee does not repay the $1,741.82 by May 11, 2026.

5-8  A convenience store in the 2900 block of Front Street reported to police that a 44-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman was seen concealing a six pack of fireball shooters in her purse and walking out of the store without paying. The manager reported that the fireball was valued at $11.99. Officers found the woman had been previously trespassed from the property. The manager signed on theft and trespass charges. The woman was booked and released on a PR bond.

5-11  The manager of a home improvement store in the 100 block of Graham Road reported to police that two males came into the business on February 17 at approximately 1800 hours to pick up a Mr. Heater Garage Heater worth $899.99. The manager advised that once these male suspects picked up the heater they cancelled their transaction on their credit card and were refunded the money. The manager did advise that the business does wish to prosecute.
