This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available May 6 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

4-24  The loss prevention officer at a department store in the 400 block of Home Avenue reported an unknown male left the store past the point of sale with an item valued at $29.99. The unknown male had left on an electric shopping cart which was recovered at a nearby pet store. The store declined prosecution.

4-25  During a traffic stop in the 200 block of High Street, the passenger was instructed to leave the scene after the driver was arrested for OVI and that he was not to enter the vehicle. While officers were waiting for the vehicle to be towed the passenger arrived back on scene and attempted to enter the vehicle. The passenger was arrested for obstruction, taken to CFPD for booking and released on a recognizance bond.

4-25  Officers responded to two vehicles, a white Tesla and a black Jeep, trespassing in the field in the 3400 block of Northampton Drive. The driver of the Jeep stated he was unaware the field was private property and was filming a video with the driver of the Tesla who was now stuck in the field. The property owner was on scene and allowed the male to contact a private tow truck but advised not to return. Prosecution was declined.

4-27  Police responded to the 1100 block of Buchholzer Boulevard where a loss prevention worker reported a theft. The loss prevention officer stated they were able to get video of one known male and another unknown male walking past the point of sale without paying. They had stolen a total of $948 worth of miscellaneous steak, lobster and other goods. Store personnel were also able to give police pictures of the vehicle, a Grey Jeep Patriot, and the plate. Store personnel stated they did want to prosecute and have the males trespassed. There are leads and suspects.

4-28  A 55-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man was arrested for OVI after being involved in a minor traffic accident at a Bailey Road restaurant. The suspect failed field sobriety tests. He agreed to provide a breath sample with results of 0.274. He was released on a signature bond in the amount of $2,500 and the vehicle was towed for immobilization.

4-28  A 58-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man reports that he was the victim of an assault/road rage incident on SR8 north. An unknown white male driving a white Toyota Camry ran him off the roadway, exited his vehicle and began to punch him repeatedly. The victim had visible signs of injury but declined EMS transport to the hospital. Photographs were taken and the victim wishes to pursue criminal charges. The report number was provided.

4-28  Police responded to a call at a convenience store in the 2000 block of Bailey Road where an employee reported that during 2 separate incidents, A suspect stole two Twisted Teas and four Cutwaters valued at $21.94 and a pack of cigarettes, valued at $12.19. The store did wish to prosecute, and the suspect was on scene. The suspect was charged with theft, given a court date at the Stow Municipal Court, and trespassed from the store .

4-29  Officers were dispatched to a call of yelling and things slamming coming from an apartment on  Winter Parkway. A male could be heard yelling inside of the apartment from the hallway. The male was home alone yelling about his neighbors. He was advised to stop yelling and slamming things down in his apartment. The male was not arrested for Disorderly Conduct, but was warned.

5-1 An employee at State Road grocery store reported a suspect took a $6.99 chicken into the women’s restroom and consumed it without paying. The suspect was previously trespassed from the store. The store signed charges against the suspect m, who was fingerprinted and taken to Stow Court.

5-2  Police responded to the 3400 block of Hudson Drive where a 45-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man had recklessly caused inconvenience,  annoyance, and alarm to a roommate by yelling and beating his shoes together, causing loud noises. This caused nearby officers to respond, believing the noise was muffled gunshots. The man was cited.

5-4  Police responded to the 2000 block of 23rd Street where the resident reported that an unknown suspect stole her son’s bicycle from her back porch. The bike is worth $175, and the woman will sign charges. There is a lead and a suspect.
