This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available April 17 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

4-5 Officers responded to a home improvement store in the 300 block of Howe Avenue for a 40-year-old male, later identified, who was observed to be rummaging through vehicles. Contact was made with the suspect who was arrested after finding out that he had also stolen items from two area discount stores. During a search incident to arrest the suspect was found to be in possession of a used meth pipe. One of the discount stores advised that they did wish to prosecute, in which the suspect was then charged with theft, vehicle trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia. After receiving a summons and citations and being advised of trespass from both retail establishments, he was released.

4-6 Officers responded to a discount store in the 400 block of Howe Avenue for reports of a shoplifter. The Loss Prevention Employee reported that the woman walked past the point of sale with a cart full of general store merchandise without paying for any items. The Loss Prevention Employee reported when he confronted the woman she began to walk away and attempted to get away in her vehicle. Officers later were able to traffic stop the woman. Officers identified the shoplifter as a 43-year-old Munroe Falls woman. The total value of all the items stolen was $1200.00. She was arrested and transported to the Cuyahoga Falls Jail then booked released on a PR bond. The Loss Prevention Employee signed a complaint for theft.
