This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available March 27th and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.
3-11 A driver for Metro Regional Transit Authority summoned police to the area of Howe and Cliffside to file a report for criminal damaging. The bus driver called and advised an unknown male was causing issues on the bus after not having money for a ticket. The suspect damaged the door to the vehicle by kicking and shattering it prior to leaving. The driver advised she believed the suspect ran into a retail establishment on Howe Ave. Officers searched the establishment and the surrounding area but were unable to locate. The driver advised that the damage to the bus is a safety hazard, therefore the bus had to be put out of commission. The damage is estimated to be over $500. There are leads on the suspect, but he is currently not identified. Metro Regional Transit advised they do want to press charges on the suspect.
3-21 A 20-year-old Northampton Road woman was charged with a myriad of traffic offenses. According to police the woman was arrested for Failure To Comply With Order or Signal of Police Officer for leading police on a pursuit while driving left of center at oncoming traffic and reverse of traffic on State Route 8 (south in the north lanes). She caused multiple accidents in Stow and Cuyahoga Falls and was taken into custody by Stow Police at the conclusion of the pursuit. The woman later was served her copies of a complaint and traffic citations at the Stow Police Department.
3-22 A resident in the 4200 block of Wyoga Lake Road reported to police that an unknown suspect gained access into her bank account, and she is now missing a total of $2,847.92. The individual noticed the money taken out of the account at approximately 0400 hours on 3/22 when they received a call from Credit Karma notifying them. The victim reports multiple withdrawals from an unfamiliar company name. The unknown suspect also changed the phone number and email to the account. The victim does want to prosecute, however there are no leads.
3-24 A 26-year-old Perry, Ohio man was stopped on Route 8 near Graham Road for a speed violation. The man was found to be under the influence of alcohol and arrested after performing and failing field sobriety tests. He was transported back to Falls Police and booked. The man submitted to a breathalyzer and blew a 0.125. He was released to a sober party.
