Cuyahoga Falls City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Council committee meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in order to allow councilmembers to publicly discuss pending legislation that will be voted on at regular meetings. The public is free to comment on pending legislation during the allowed time set aside as part of committee meetings.

A-46: An ordinance authorizing the superintendent of Parks and Recreation to enter into a compensation agreement for the position of Inventory Control Manager. Passed 11-0.
A-47: An ordinance creating the non-bargaining position of Human Resource Coordinator and amending Exhibit A of Ordinance 132-2021. Passed 11-0.
A-48: An ordinance authorizing the director of public service to enter into a second modification of contract No. 8807 with Environmental Design Group. Passed 11-0.
Public & Industrial Improvements:
A-49: An ordinance authorizing the director of public service to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, with Davey Resource Group to provide professional engineering services for the improvements to Barney’s Busy Corners. Passed 11-0.
A-50: An ordinance authorizing the director of public service to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, with a firm or firms, for concrete pavement repairs to various streets. Passed 11-0
Public Affairs:
A-51: An ordinance amending section 151.06 of the Codified Ordinances, relating to paid holidays. Passed 11-0.

A-53: A resolution declaring the month of May as ALS Awareness Month in the City of Cuyahoga Falls. Passed 11-0.
Miscellaneous Business:
Planning and Zoning Committee Chair Susan Spinner reminded everyone that there will be a public hearing Monday, June 6 at 6:30 pm to discuss A-42: An ordinance approving the establishment of a New Title 5, “Merriman Valley Schumacher Code” and associated text and zoning map amendments for multiple parcels in the Merriman Valley Schumacher area, as more fully described and depicted. A planning and zoning committee meeting will follow.
Finance Director Bryan Hoffman presented to City Council Report 21 (a monthly snapshot of the city’s finances). Some of the revenue items that were noteworthy include proceeds from fuel tax are up 5.8%, revenue from the Natatorium is up 7% and presale passes from Water Works park came in 11% higher than last year. Revenue from the city’s bed tax is up a whopping 73% due in part to the eclipse.
