This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available October 22 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.
10-10 Police took a report from a resident of Cathedral Lane where a 63-year-old woman stated she gave a known male permission to take her Social Security debit card to withdraw $60. The known male instead made two withdrawals of $100 each, putting her at a loss of $140. The male stated the woman wanted him to withdraw the money so he could use it to buy “crack” for her. Due to the conflicting dates, amounts, and alleged use of the money both parties were referred to the prosecutor’s office. The known male was found to have two active warrants for his arrest and was transported to Stow Municipal Court.
10-10 A Marguerite Avenue resident reported that on October 2 at 3:30pm an Amazon package containing a Canon PowerShot SX740 valued at $1024.75 was delivered to her address. The victim reported an unknown suspect had taken the package without her consent. The victim reported she does wish to pursue prosecution.
10-13 The manager of a Graham Road tire store reported that an employee charged the company’s credit card for vehicle parts for his own vehicle. The total of the parts purchased was $345.27. The employee was confronted with the charges and claimed he would pay the company back. After eight days the employee still failed to pay the charges and the manager signed charges.
10-14 A 70-year-old Cedar Hill Road resident reported to police that his wife’s Paypal/Discover card was hacked. There were multiple fraudulent purchases on the account on Fanatics.com. He was unable to provide a monetary value for all the purchases. One of the packages is due to be delivered to a local hotel. He was advised to have his wife file an online fraud claim. His wife wishes to pursue charges and the report number was provided.
10-14 A Grant Avenue resident reported to police that a known female stole $1200 from him. He paid the woman a deposit (via Session Booking app) to take his wedding photos in April 2026. The suspect has since removed her Facebook page, changed her phone number and is not responding to emails. He wishes to pursue criminal charges and the report number was provided.
10-17 A woman’s boutique in the 1200 block of Main Street reports that an unknown male entered the store and stole an item valued at $69.99. A witness stated the unknown male got into the passenger seat of the getaway vehicle. The employee stated that the store manager does wish to prosecute and will sign for charges. They have the license from the getaway vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the suspect or suspect vehicle.
10-17 A worker at Downview reported that over the last few nights the skate park had been hit with spray paint. There are six spray marks with possible lettering of SKz. There is an unknown time of when it might have happened, but it could most likely be during the night. Camera footage is being reviewed by staff, and they will contact me by email if anything is found.
10-18 The manager of an establishment in the 2200 block of Front Street for a report of property damage. The general manager reports that an unknown suspect threw a bowling ball at a TV, causing it to break. The TV was valued at $200. The manager stated that she wants to prosecute for the damages. The unknown suspect was not on scene when officers arrived.
10-18 A 68-year-old resident reported to police that she was a victim of a scheme that defrauded her of about $12,000. This scam took place from April of this year to October 17. The scheme made the victim believe she was “donating” to a Michigan lottery winner’s grant on Facebook. No leads or suspects. The victim does want to press charges.
