10-31 A Steels Corners Road resident reported that a known person added themselves to his Spectrum cell phone account as well as added a Samsung Galaxy A14 5G phone. The estimated cost of the phone is $200. The individual states that he discovered the fraud and canceled the line but at this time he is unsure if the phone provider is going to hold him liable for the cost of the phone. The man states he will prosecute. There are leads.
11-1 The manager of an office supply store on Howe Avenue reported to police that an unknown suspect passed the point of sale without paying for three Apple Airspeeds. The manager states the approximate amount lost as $750. There are leads and a suspect. The manager states the store will prosecute.
11-1 A Cuyahoga Falls resident contacted police to report that unknown individuals who stayed at the Airbnb next to his house parked a trailer with alpacas in it, and did not pick up their feces. When officers arrived, it did appear that there was animal defecation and food pellets in the driveway. Officers attempted but were unable to make contact with the known owner to obtain the short-term tenant information.
11-1 A home improvement store in the 300 block of Howe Avenue reported to police that an unknown male suspect took three home security systems, valued at $39.98 each, from the store. The unknown male put two home security systems in his bookbag, and one in his jacket, and then walked out the main entrance of the store. The store is willing to pursue prosecution.
11-1 A store owner in the 600 block of Howe Avenue reported to police that an unknown suspect took a vape without paying for it a few days ago. The manager also states the same unknown suspect came in on November 1 around 10 am and took approximately 6 vapes without paying. Total loss reported is $70.00. There are leads. The manager states he will prosecute.
11-2 A Shannon Avenue resident reported to police that an unknown person or persons took his Ford SUV from his residence. The man stated that he was several months behind on his payments and is in possession of all the keys to the vehicle. A ring camera in the neighborhood shows the vehicle in the driveway 20 minutes prior to the call. The victim stated that he did not know the plate to the vehicle or any other identifying information so it could not be entered into LEADS. The vehicle was estimated to cost $10,000.
11-4 Police were called to a shoe store in the 500 block of Howe Avenue for a report of a theft. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the caller who stated an unknown female walked out the store with multiple items without paying. The manager states the female drove away in a maroon Ford SUV with no rear plate. He stated he does wish to prosecute.
