6-5  An Americana Drive resident was stopped by Cuyahoga Falls Police for a traffic stop on a vehicle with no license plate. The driver was identified, and it was determined that her rear plate was on the front of the vehicle instead of the back. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer noticed an open bottle of alcoholic beverage in the center console. The bottle was open and there was still alcoholic beverage inside. The driver advised the bottle was from a few nights ago. The officer went through field sobriety tests with the driver and did not find her to be intoxicated. She was cited for Open Container without incident.

6-19  A 27th Street resident summoned police saying he saw two females walk onto his neighbor’s property, which he knew to be abandoned for at least a month. On scene officers could immediately hear rustling behind the property and ordered the individuals to stop and come out from behind the house. Two females identified themselves to the officer and claimed to be in the backyard bushes allegedly looking for a cat.

Officers found bags and property near where these individuals were located, and they immediately denied ownership. While trying to determine ownership of the property suspected, methamphetamine was found inside the bags. The police investigation of the property determined the bags belonged to two females. One woman was found to be in possession of 0.2 grams of methamphetamine; the other was found to be in possession of 1.1 grams. Both also field-tested positive for methamphetamine. The two women were arrested, booked, and released on PR bound for possession of controlled substance. One of the women was transported to Summit County Jail for a warrant through their department.
