City Council Minutes Report: March 15, 2022

Cuyahoga Falls City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Council committee meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in order to allow councilmembers to publicly discuss pending legislation that will be voted on at regular meetings. The public is free to comment on pending legislation during the allowed time set aside as part of committee meetings.

On Monday, March 14 the following ordinances were read for the first time and assigned to the proper committee.

A-27 :An ordinance authorizing the Chief of Police to enter into a contract or contracts for the sale or other disposal of in-car video cameras and accessories was assigned to the finance Committee.

A-28: An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to enter into a compensation agreement for the position of electrical engineer was assigned to the finance committee.

A-29: An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, for rehabilitation of the Broad Boulevard sanitary sewer, from 5th Street to 7th Street, will be discussed by the Public and Industrial Improvements Committee.

A-30: An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, for the annual resurfacing and/or repair of various in the city of Cuyahoga Falls and authorizing the Director of Public Service to enter into a contract or contracts for pavement preservation on various streets within the city discussed by the Public and Industrial Improvements Committee

A-31: An ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a retroactive Community Reinvestment Area Agreement with Coming Attractions Development, LLC will be discussed by the Community Development Committee.

Council also voted on items and passed the following ordinances discussed during last week’s committee meetings.

Finance

A-24: An ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a revenue sharing agreement with the Cuyahoga Falls Library for tax revenue sharing on funds generated by condos being developed on South Front St.

A-25: An ordinance authorizing the city to enter into a lease agreement with Legacy 2020 LLC for parking spaces in the Red Deck at 2052 Front St. was voted to return to the Finance Committee.

Public Affairs

A-26: A resolution declaring the month of March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness month in the City of Cuyahoga Falls.
