This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available April 24 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

4-12 After receiving complaints police responded to the area of 7th Street for a report of two subjects soliciting door-to-door. Officers made contact with a known male and female representing a home improvement company. The known male and female did not have an identification card required for soliciting per Cuyahoga Falls Ordinance 717.01. The pair were warned for soliciting without the required identification card.

4-12 A loss prevention specialist for a Howe Road department store stated that he observed an unknown female select merchandise, conceal it in a large handbag and then pass off the handbag to a juvenile female. The juvenile then passed the point of sale and left the store with the merchandise without paying and without permission to do so. Two of the store’s loss prevention associates apprehended the suspect as she left the store and recovered $311.44 in costume jewelry, misc. apparel and health and beauty items. The department store did retain all merchandise. They also did sign a charge for theft. The juvenile was released to her father.

4-13 Police were called to a coffee shop in the 300 block of Howe Road where the manager reported a suspicious male who was inside of the business harassing customers. When asked to leave, the male stood outside and threw trash at customers walking in. The male was located, identified, and charged with disorderly conduct, trespassed from the coffee shop at the request of the manager, and released.

4-13 Police responded to a call that a known suspect possibly hit the bar owner at an establishment in the 2200 block Front Street. It was found that the suspect did not hit the bar owner; however, he acted in a disorderly manner while intoxicated that caused alarm to the bar patrons, resulting in one calling police. The unnamed bar owner requested the gentleman leave for the night. The gentleman was issued a citation for disorderly conduct while intoxicated, then courtesy transported home to his wife in Munroe Falls.

4-15 While on a traffic stop in the 2600 block of State Road, officers were granted consent to search the vehicle by the owner. During the search a clear plastic Dunkin cup containing beer was located under the passenger seat. The passenger admitted the container was his, he was cited and released on scene.

4-15 Police responded to the 900 block of Sacket Avenue where they found a Sheffield Lake man had gone to retrieve a package he had sent to this address. The suspect yelled at the residents, calling them thieves and other names, flipped them off, and threatened to fight. They eventually gave the suspect the package for which he had come. Multiple neighbors called about the incident. The suspect was cited for disorderly conduct and was trespassed from the location.

4-16 A woman in the 2500 block of State Road reported that her 2014 Jeep Cherokee was stolen last evening from the rear parking lot of her apartment complex. The spare key was inside of the vehicle. The vehicle will be entered into Leads as stolen. She wishes to pursue charges.

4-16 A loss prevention associate at a Graham Rod home improvement store reported that an unknown male walked in through the exit of the store and took a faucet valued at $224.69 then walked through the entrance area in order to attempt to return the item for money. The item was recovered by the store. The unknown male left the scene prior to officers’ arrival. There are no suspects. The store does wish to prosecute.

4-17 A resident at French Mill Run reported to the police that an unknown person opened their unlocked vehicle and took a wallet containing two debit cards and $15.00 in cash. This took place between 11pm and 7am. There were no signs of forced entry. Nothing else was damaged or stolen. The victims are willing to prosecute.
