This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available April 10th and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.
4-4 During a private property accident investigation in the 300 block of Howe Avenue, the driver was found to be impaired and was arrested on an OVI. Upon a search he was found to have two types of unknown pills and a glass pipe with burnt residue in his vehicle. The suspect was also found to have four plastic snort straws with residue and a clear baggie of a white crystal substance on his person. The two unknown pills were sent to BCI for identification. The white crystal substance field tested positive as methamphetamine and weighed 3.6 grams. The individual also submitted to chemical tests at Western Reserve and then was transported to Summit County Jail.
4-5 The manager of an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Second Street summoned the police because a male subject, known to them, was in the apartment building after being trespassed the day prior. Contact was made with the suspect, who was located inside the lobby and was taken into custody for trespass. During the search incident to arrest, a used meth pipe and a small bag of meth were located in his pockets. The individual was then transported to CFPD where he was booked and released after being charged with trespass, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
4-6 While traveling southbound on State Road a black sedan failed to yield to traffic and pulled out from the 3900 block of State Rod and almost struck a police cruiser. A traffic stop was initiated and officers made contact with the driver. After further investigation it was found that the suspect was operating a motor vehicle while impaired and was arrested. He was taken back to the station for booking where he refused a breath test. He was charged with OVI, and OVI Offense in Last 20 years refusal of breath test. He was released to his spouse.
4-7 After receiving a second noise complaint call shortly after midnight coming from the 2100 block of 9th Street, officers again observed a noise violation time upon arrival. The resident was issued a citation for disorderly conduct due loud music.
