City Council Minutes Report: February 24, 2025

City Council News & Politics

Cuyahoga Falls City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Council committee meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in order to allow councilmembers to publicly discuss pending legislation that will be voted on at regular meetings. The public is free to comment on pending legislation during the allowed time set aside as part of committee meetings.

New legislation:

B-16: An ordinance authorizing and approving the final subdivision plat for the Reserve at Boulder Estate Development located on the southwest corner of State Road and Boulder Boulevard. Assigned t0 the planning and zoning committee.

B-17*: An ordinance approving the renewal application of Amy Mothersbaugh and Gary Blaine, as owners of certain real property located at 2190 Sourek Trail, to place said property into an Agricultural District pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Chapter 929. Assigned to the community development committee.

* A public hearing will be held for B-17 on March 17 at 6:30pm.

Public & Industrial Improvements:

B-14: An ordinance authorizing the director of public service to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, for the Riverloop, Riverfront Parkway Enhancements and Boardwalk Rehabilitation, and the improvements to the Portage Trail Bridge Lighting. Passed 11-0.

B-15: An ordinance authorizing the director of public service to enter into a third modification of contract No. 8807 with Environmental Design Group. Passed 11-0.
