This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available October 23 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.
10-11 Police were called to the 1700 block of Issaquah Street for a barking dog complaint. Upon arrival, police verified there were multiple dogs creating unreasonably loud and disturbing noise. The officer was unable to contact the homeowner at this time, however dispatch was able to contact the dogs’ owner and advise him to put up the dogs.
10-12 Police responded to a fast-food restaurant in the 300 block of Howe Avenue where an employee reported that an unknown female yelled threatening obscenities through the drive through window. The suspect then left the area in a blue sedan prior to police arrival. The employee stated she did not want to pursue anything related to the incident and simply wanted police notified in case the situation was to have escalated.
10-12 An Oakwood Drive resident reports two known suspects let their dog run at large on his premises. The man reported the dog ran through his yard and jumped onto the siding of his residence. The two known suspects report a three-year-old juvenile family member opened their gate and accidentally let the dog out. The suspects were warned for an animal at large. The caller reports no damage done to his property.
10-13 Police were requested at a convenience store in the 1200 block of Main Street where a manager reported three unknown people stole alcohol. The employee states they came into the store, entered the beer cave, grabbed five cases of various beer, and walked out the front door without paying. The store employee reports they then got in a white Ford SUV and fled. The total loss is approximately $87.96. The store will prosecute. Officers were unable to locate the suspects at this time. Currently there are no leads on suspects. Pending video footage.
10-13 A witness contacted police to report a male striking a Silver SUV with a brick. The witness described the male as white, wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, and glasses. He was observed by officers getting into a black SUV that began driving away. A traffic stop was conducted, and the male was identified. The suspect was read his Miranda rights and did admit to striking the vehicle with a brick. The suspect claimed this was done because he was bored. The owner of the vehicle signed charges. The approximate damage to the vehicle is $750. The suspect was arrested and charged with criminal damaging.
10-15 A man in the 2500 block of Third Street reported to police he found his motorcycle stolen from his backyard. The motorcycle was last seen on October 14. The man stated it appears an unknown individual backed a trailer onto his driveway, pushed the motorcycle onto it and fled. The motorcycle is estimated to have a value of $6,000. The motorcycle has been entered into N.C.I.C.
10-16 A Cuyahoga Falls woman contacted police to report an unknown person(s) hit her vehicle on the passenger side door. Damages are consistent with being hit with an open vehicle door. Total cost of damages is estimated at $200. The woman stated she wanted to report the damages for insurance purposes. Prosecution declined.
10-16 Police responded to a business in the 1700 block of Front Street for a disorderly customer. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the caller, who states a male dropped his beer glass and was refusing to leave after paying. Officers made contact with the male who was removed from the business, cited for disorderly conduct, and transported to his residence with his roommate.
10-16 A Cuyahoga Falls woman reported to police that she paid a known male for a photography shoot, and he has since stopped responding to her messages regarding scheduling the shoot. Total value of loss is $550. The woman wishes to prosecute. There are leads/a suspect.
10-18 A convenience store in the 1200 block of Main Street reported to police that an unknown suspect stole two cartons of cigarettes from behind the counter. The items totaled $208.50. There are leads at this time and the store does wish to prosecute.
