The Fallscast returns after recuperating from the live episode 50 extravaganza. On this week’s show we discuss:

*The Cuyahoga Falls High School marching band celebrating its 100th anniversary, and its preparation for the Preview of the Bands show on August 17 with the Pride Alumni band (alumni can preregister to join the band at Pridealumni.org).

*Candidates for the November 2 school board election have filed, with Board President Karen Schofield and member Kathy Moffet stepping down, and three new contenders running against current member Anthony Gomez, Alecia Coco, Carrie Schaefer, and Betty Sprague. A.J. Harris and Douglas Kirchner have filed to run for Alex Hall’s remaining 2 years as well.

*The group that illegally gained access to the Northeast Ohio Women’s Center to threaten employees has been officially charged with trespassing.

*Friday night festivals on Front Street.

*Cuyahoga Falls has received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to fund a public art installation along the river to be designed by artists Stacy Levy and Peter Jones.

*The 3rd annual children’s art show at Up Front Art Space.

*Ace Epps performing at the Jenks Building Saturday, August 14, 1-2pm, as part of Curated Art on Front St.

*The reception for the membership exhibition at the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center on Friday, August 13, 5:30-7pm.

*Bart interviews Danielle Sawat, owner and operator of Shelf Life Books on Front Street, about how the bookstore grew from marketplace ads on Facebook into the basement storefront in such a short time. (40:39).
