This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available October 8 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

9-22  A resident of Pleasant Meadow Boulevard reported to police that an unknown person(s) entered her locked vehicle and stole a trash bag from the trunk containing miscellaneous clothing and makeup items. The victim believes $150 worth of items were stolen. No signs of forced entry were seen on the victim’s vehicle and she is willing to prosecute. It is unknown if video is available.

9-24  A convenience store in the 2800 block of State Road reports an unknown white male wearing a grey hoodie and sweatpants started yelling racial slurs at her when he was unable to pay for his sandwich. When the employee told the male to leave, he continued to scream in front of other customers before eventually leaving on foot after he was told the police were coming. Officers were unable to locate the male. No video was available at this time.

9-30  A 64-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman reported to police that while shopping at a State Road grocery store an unknown suspect stole a coin purse from her vehicle. The victim stated there were no coins in the purse, but the keys and key fob to her apartment. The victim valued the total of all items at $33. The victim would like to prosecute in the matter; there are no leads at this time.

9-30  Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Portage Trail for a report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the known suspect who stated the owner of the business owed her a paycheck but declined to give it to her. Officers spoke to the manager on the phone who stated the female was inside yelling at employees. When officers attempted to speak to employees, there were none inside. Officers gave the female info for small claims court and they were trespassed.

10-3  Police responded to a shoe store in the 300 block of Howe Avenue where the manager reported that there was a male in the store causing a verbal disturbance over a dispute of mispriced shoes. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the male suspect who advised that he attempted to purchase a pair of shoes for $25 but that the store told him they were mislabeled and were actually $50. The manager advised that the male suspect became upset and yelling at her while several other customers were in the store, causing inconvenience and/or alarm to the patrons of the business. The business owner stated that he wished to have the male suspect trespassed from the business. The suspect was advised of this and left the business without incident. He was given a warning for Disorderly Conduct.

10-3  Two Akron women report being assaulted by two known females in the parking lot of a business in the 1000 block of Munroe Falls Avenue One of the women stated she stopped in the area to have a mutual fight with one of the known females, when the other known subject began striking both victims in the head with a metal Stanley cup. One of the known females also threw the victim’s cell phone, leaving it with cracks and disabling damage. Both victims were left with minor injuries, including slight hematomas on their head, and minor scratches. Both victims were evaluated by Falls Fire and released. The victims would like to prosecute in the matter. There are leads at this time.

10-4  Police responded to a car dealer in the 2600 block of Front Street for reports of a vehicle that had been damaged. Upon arrival, officers located a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray turned on, with the door open, and the driver’s side window smashed. The vehicle is valued at approximately $43,000. Security footage shows a male subject gain entry into the vehicle, but unable to start it. The suspect then got into the passenger seat of a newer model Dodge Charger and fled the area. Police contacted the owner and he does wish to prosecute. There are leads in this case.

10-4  Police responded to the 2700 block of Northampton Road where the resident reported a male and female were arguing in a white SUV on the street in front of her home. Police contacted the occupants of the vehicle. The driver reported that his girlfriend struck him in the back of the head several times after she broke his windshield and he refused to take her to a concert at Blossom Music Center. The driver had no visible injuries; the passenger was highly intoxicated at the time and was cited for disorderly conduct and taken to detox. The couple both stated they were dating but did not live together or have any children. The driver declined prosecution. Cleared without further incident.

10-5  Police made a traffic stop on Front Street near Broad Boulevard for driving in marked and continuous lanes. The driver had an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his person, had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and admitted to consuming alcohol prior to operating a motor vehicle. The driver voluntarily performed sobriety tests and was arrested for OVI. The driver later provided a breath sample of .158 BAC. The driver was charged with OVI and marked and continuous lanes. The driver was released to a sober family member.

10-6  Two Portage County men report that they were driving southbound on Main Street when a black Audi SUV approached them on their right-hand side. Both parties state a male driver rolled down his window and began yelling at them and further brandished a pistol, stating he would shoot them. The driver of the Audi followed them into the home improvement store parking lot and left the area prior to officer arrival. There is a lead.
