This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available November 26  and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

11-14  A Cuyahoga Falls man reported to police that his Citizen Corso Eco-Drive watch was taken from the restroom of a State Road gas station. The watch is valued around $500. The victim reported that a known male was the only person seen entering the restroom. The victim wishes to pursue prosecution.

11-18  A discount store in the 500 block of Howe Avenue reported to police officers after a male exited the store past the final point of sale without paying for a brown jacket he was wearing. Officers were able to locate the suspect wearing the brown jacket along with other items which included instant coffee, coffee filters, ties, razors, a backpack filled with laundry detergent and a hat. Officers spoke with managers at another store who advised some of the items came from their store but declined to prosecute at this time. The suspect admitted to taking the jacket from the discount store without paying but denied taking the other items from other stores in the area. The manager advised officers that they did want to prosecute. The suspect was arrested and issued a summons for theft and the suspect was added to the trespass list for the store.

11-20  Police were requested at a fast food restaurant in the 2600 block of State Road where employees were concerned about a male drinking alcohol inside the restaurant who they wanted removed. Officers contacted the suspect who had an open container of Southern Comfort Whiskey inside of a 24oz soft drink cup. He was issued a citation for Open Container.

11-20  A 59-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman reported to police that their company transported two loads of goods for Amazon between their facilities in Georgia and Arizona. Amazon paid the broker, a fraudulent company, which in turn, failed to pay the victims company, resulting in a financial loss of $8,307. The victim does wish to prosecute and provided a lead

11-21  A drugstore in the 600 block of Portage Trail reported that a shoplifter did with purpose to deprive the store by placing at least $1,021.96 worth of merchandise in a white purse and a Christmas bag, then walking past the point of sale without paying for the items. The store was willing to prosecute and a warrant on complaint was requested. The suspect was charged with Theft, a felony of the fifth degree.

11-21  A 13th street resident reported to police that a known suspect took a Blu-ray player from her porch without paying the agreed $50 for the item. The suspect was located and gave the player back. The victim advised she did not wish to press charges after the item was found.

11-21  A Hunters Lake Drive resident reported an unknown male had broken into her vehicle and taken two credit cards without her permission. The victim reported that the unknown male did use one of the credit cards at a local convenience store and purchased $408.74 of merchandise. The victim does wish to pursue prosecution.

11-22  A Cuyahoga Falls police officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2009 Chevrolet truck for several violations. The driver fled the traffic stop in the vehicle bearing Michigan registration, from 1420 Main Street and continued south on Main Street into Akron. The pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns. No other suspect information.

11-22  A resident of Forest Glen Drive reported to police that a known female was found getting into her unlocked car parked at her apartment. The victim also reported that her coin jar, valued at $40, was also taken from the vehicle. The known female admitted to opening the car and taking the money. The coin jar was recovered and given back to the victim who is unsure about prosecution.

11-23  A Beacon Hill Circle resident reports an unknown suspect stole approximately $400 cash and her bank card from her vehicle. The victim reports she was notified by her bank that her card was used totaling approximately $500. There are no leads or suspects and the victim wishes to prosecute.
