This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available May 7 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

4-30  A discount store in the 500 block of Howe Avenue reports an unknown male put a Magnavox 8,000 BTU Air Conditioner into a shopping cart and walked past the point of sale. The male then got into a small black SUV and left east on Howe Avenue. The male was wearing a white hoodie, black jacket, gray pants and a black hat. Total amount stolen was $217.99. The store is willing to prosecute and is working on getting camera footage.

5-2  Police were called to Cuyahoga Falls Library where a Library worker stated a known female was on the upper level of the library tossing a water bottle up and down multiple times. The bottle was hitting the floor, disturbing and distracting other patrons. Security asked the female to leave, to which she refused and continued throwing the bottle. The worker then called police, and the known female left the library upon police arrival. The known female was located on Broad Boulevard near Riverfront Parkway and advised of trespassing.

5-3  While a police officer was parked at Hudson Drive and Third Street a gentleman approached the officer, and he was found to have a warrant through Stow PD for receiving stolen property. Stow PD arranged to meet at an address on Graham Road. While searching the suspect prior to arrest he stated that he had a smoking device on him that he used to smoke meth. The smoking device was seized, and the suspect was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

5-3  During a traffic stop at Fourth Street and Portage Trail the officer identified the driver and passenger and both occupants gave the officer consent to search the car. During the search the officer located multiple items commonly associated with fentanyl use and possession, including several pieces of burnt aluminum foil, a snort straw, five burnt metal straws, and three plastic containers with powder residue inside. Additionally, the officer recovered a cylindrical plastic container with a clear lid containing a tan powder, a multi-colored rubber cylindrical container with an unknown substance, and a plastic vial with a blue lid also containing a tan powder. These substances are suspected to contain fentanyl. The passenger claimed ownership of all recovered items. All evidence was collected and seized. Both occupants were released from the scene, and charges are pending the BCI results.

5-4  Around 11pm police responded to the 400 block of Sackett Avenue for a noise complaint. A known male stated that he was doing carpentry work for his friend and had nearly finished putting in a new front door. The male was advised that he could reattach the front door and was warned for violating the noise curfew.

5-4  The program commissioner for Little Black Tigers football league reports two known juveniles attempted to gain access to the concessions building by breaking the padlock and kicking at the door. The juveniles also entered the equipment garage by breaking the lock. It does not appear that anything was stolen at this time. There are leads at this time. Prosecution is desired.

5-4  A resident in the 200 block of Brook View Drive reported she hired a pest control service to spray for ants in her bedroom on May 1, 2025, and on May 3 she realized her 14 carat gold bracelet valued at $2,375.98 was found missing from a counter in her bedroom. The woman last saw the bracelet on April 27, 2025 and does wish to pursue charges at this time.

5-4  During a traffic stop at Howe Avenue and Main Street the driver was found to be driving under suspension and had an active warrant through Parma PD, which they declined to act on. Officers towed the vehicle and discovered 7.3 grams of a crystal-like substance, two $1 bills fashioned into straws with residue, and a container holding empty plastic bags with similar residue. The driver was cited for Driving Under Suspension. The registered owner paid the tow drop fee and retrieved the vehicle. All suspected illegal items were seized, and charges are pending lab results from BCI. 

5-5  Police were called to a grocery store in the 2600 block of State Road for an intoxicated female yelling expletives throughout the store and smacking someone near the exit of the store. After speaking with the suspect, she showed signs of impairment. She also admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages, and admitted to yelling and smacking her friend. The woman was given a summons and released to her sober friends.

5-6  Police  conducted a traffic stop on a white Dodge Caravan on Portage Trail and Third Street for driving without use of headlights. The officer could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage and the driver had admitted to drinking and agreed to perform field sobriety tests. The driver performed poorly and was arrested for OVI. The driver was also driving with a suspended license. A 2255 form was read on scene, and the driver had consented to giving a breath sample. Police transported the driver to Stow PD to collect the sample where she refused both opportunities. The driver was transported back to CFPD for booking and charges and released to her father who was a sober party.
