This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available May 1 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

4-26 A Columbus woman was charged with a concealed weapons violation at State Road and Schiller Avenue when she failed to disclose there was a firearm in the vehicle after asked by officers. The woman also touched the firearm with her hand in an attempt to conceal it so that officers would not see. The woman was taken back to CFPD for booking and released on bond.

4-27  During a traffic stop on Route 8 and Steels Corners Road a subject granted consent to search their vehicle. During the search, a broken crack pipe with a white residue inside was located behind the driver’s seat. The driver was issued a summons and later released. His vehicle was impounded. 

4-27 A Howe Road grocery store loss prevention employee reported a shoplifting occurred where $87.44 of groceries were stolen. The employee provided officers with information leading to find the identity of the suspect involved in the theft. Officers went to the residence of the suspect. The identified suspect agreed to return to the store and pay for the items she stole. The store declined prosecution if the items were paid in full, to which they were.

4-27  A  gas station\convenience store in the 1200 block of Main Street  reported that an unknown white male approximately age 18-25, wearing a black jacket, tan pants and black and white shoes, walked into the store, grabbed a 24-pack of Bud Light beer and walked out. The unknown male did not pay for the alcohol resulting in a loss of $24.49 for the store. The unknown male got into the passenger seat of a black sedan that left the area south bound on Main Street. Video footage was requested from the store staff and there is a lead. The employee stated the store does wish to prosecute.
