Cuyahoga Falls Police Blotter: June 5, 2024

This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available June 5 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

5-27  A shoe store in the 500 block of Howe Avenue reported that three pairs of shoes (Reebok, Vans, and Puma) were stolen by 2 unknown suspects. The manager advised the stolen 3 shoes are valued around $180. The store does wish to prosecute if the suspects are located.

5-29  A resale store in the 1700 block of State Road reported that a known female did try to buy items with a counterfeit $50.00 bill. The suspect stated that a known male gave her the bill just before she went into the store and claimed to not know the bill was counterfeit until advised by the store manager. The suspect and a witness completed written statements detailing that the known male provided the $50 bill. No items were purchased with the counterfeit money. No one was charged with forgery.

5-29  Police responded to a report of criminal damage in the 2000 block of Broad Boulevard where a resident reported that an unknown person(s) did damage to the hood of his black 2023 Chevy Blazer by unknown means. The damage was an indentation on the passenger side of the hood. Estimated cost of repair is $200. The owner will prosecute.
