This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available July 17 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

7-2  A State Road grocery store reported that after reviewing videotape a suspect known to them stole from the store. The manager advised the incident took place on June 28 and they had video evidence. The suspect stole miscellaneous allergy medication totaling $1,736.68 by concealing it in a trash bag and walking out of the store. The store does wish to prosecute and responded to the station to sign the complaint. A warrant on complaint was filed for the suspect.

7-5  The loss prevention officer from a department store in the 400 block of Howe Road summoned police after observing a woman concealing $130.60 of miscellaneous women’s and girls’ clothing in a purse and walking past the last point of sale without paying. The loss prevention officer stated the store will prosecute. The woman was charged and issued a summons for theft. 

7-5  The same department store contacted police later that day for an unknown male who pocketed cologne and then bagged a Stanley cup at self-checkout without scanning it. The male then fled the store on foot Eastbound. The loss prevention officer said the store will prosecute. The total amount of merchandise stolen and recovered was $59.99 

7-10  A Grant Avenue man requested police after losing his wallet at a get-together on July 4. The man reported that on Saturday, July 6, the wallet was in the possession of an unknown individual that messaged him through Instagram claiming to have the wallet. The wallet was described as a Coach 3 in 1 valued at $225.00. Its contents included an OH ID, insurance card, four debit cards, and one credit card. All cards were locked and no activity on them was reported. The man does not wish to prosecute. A portion of the wallet and its contents have been returned.
