This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available July 10 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

6-24  The loss prevention officer of a discount store in the 2900 block of State Road requested police after witnessing a shoplifting in progress. Police came into contact with the suspect after the loss prevention officer stated that the woman had concealed a jar of minced garlic, a package of sausages, and a package of ground beef in her purse and exited the final point of sale without paying. The store recovered all stolen items which totaled $18.39. The suspect was issued a summons for theft and was banned from the store.

6-24  Police were called to a discount store in the 1800 block of Bailey Road to report an unknown white male stole an unknown number of items from the store. The manager observed the male exit the store with items in his hands and set off the alarm. The male then began running northbound through the parking lot before getting into an older white 4-door vehicle with no license plate. The vehicle appeared to be driven by an unknown white female and was last seen heading southbound on Bailey Road. The manager advised the male dropped a few items while running away but did get away with an unknown number of items. The store will be declining prosecution.

6-25  Officers responded to a suspicious male at the library. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect sitting on the bench drinking an open 12oz bottle of Labatt beer. The individual was cited.

6-28  Officers responded to a noise complaint after 9:00 pm at a restaurant in the 4000 block of Wyoga Lake Rd. Upon arrival, officers could hear loud music coming from behind the business. Management was spoken to regarding the noise and reported the band would be done at 10 pm. The band was asked to turn the music down and management was warned for disorderly conduct.

6-28  The manager of a convenience store in the 2900 block of Oakwood Drive reported to police that four unknown juvenile males stole four fountain sodas, valued at approximately $4.00, and then fled in the direction of Lion’s Park. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles. The manager was advised to call CFPD if/when the juveniles returned. Prosecution was declined.

6-28  The manager of a convenience store in the 1200 block of Main Street summoned the police to report that an unknown male suspect went behind the counter, took four packs of cigarettes then left without paying. Total value of loss is estimated to be $40.00. The store will prosecute. There are leads.

6-29  Police were requested to the 2700 block of Oakwood Drive when the residents noticed the front door of their house wide open after returning home. Upon arrival, officers discovered that an unknown suspect forced entry into the home through the front door. Several offices arrived to assist with clearing the home and nobody was located inside. The residents report nothing stolen nor damage to anything else inside. The resident does want to prosecute.

6-29  A resident in the 1700 block of Union Street reported to police that a male in a rented moving truck threw a bottle of urine onto the street. The bottle was placed into a trash can. No prosecution is desired.

6-29  The manager of a restaurant in the 200 block of Howe Avenue requested police after two unknown female customers came in and caused a scene then threw their plates behind the bar before leaving in an unknown direction. The officers canvassed the area and could not locate the suspects. The manager does not wish to prosecute at this time. The suspects did settle the bill before leaving. However, the manager does wish to have the two suspects trespassed from the restaurant if police contact them.
