This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available December 18 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

12-12  Police responded to a report of theft at a grocery store in the 2600 block of State Road. After locating the suspect it was found that the female was concealing multiple items in her bag. Checking and attempting to identify the female, she gave false information to conceal her identity due to outstanding warrants and was arrested for Obstructing Official Business. The woman also did not have any form of payment to pay for the items she placed in her cart or in her bag. The grocery store does wish to prosecute for the theft in the amount of $603.18. A warrant on complaint for theft was signed by the store manager at the police department. 

12-13  The manager of a Fourth Street  convenience store contacted police after a suspect placed a small bottle of liquor in his jacket and exited the store without paying. The store does want to prosecute. There are no leads at this time.

12-14  Police responded to Howe Avenue near Main Street after a man was seen laying in the middle of the road. The man was voluntarily intoxicated and could not stand on his own. The man had fallen prior to contact with officers and caused a head injury to himself. The suspect was cited for disorderly conduct and transported to Western Reserve Hospital by CFFD.

12-14  Loss prevention personnel at a Howe Avenue department store requested police officers for a theft. Officers located the suspect who had in his possession an Xbox 360 and two PS5 games. The man had taken the items past the point of sale with no intention of paying for them. The suspect was also found to have a warrant through CFPD for theft that occurred at the same store . The suspect was also previously trespassed by the store employees on September 13, 2024 via writing. The suspect was charged on scene for the theft and trespass and was also given his copy of the warrant for theft.

12-14  The owner of a tavern in the 2900 block of Sixth street reports that a patron punched him in the face when the owner told them to go outside because they were trying to engage in a fight with another customer. The owner showed officers videos, and the officers observed the three individuals. The owner requested to prosecute all three for assault. Officers transported them to the CFPD jail where they were processed and booked. The owner came to the station and signed the charges for assault.

12-14  Police responded to the parking lot of a grocery store in the 200 block of Howe Avenue where a Tallmadge woman reported to police an unknown white suspect stole her unlocked white and black Toyota Camry that was parked in the store parking lot. The woman stated her two iPhones, and one iPad were inside the vehicle with her purse. The woman reports having the key but believes a spare could have been inside her purse. Total value is estimated at $30k. There are leads. Prosecution is desired. Victim was unable to provide serial numbers for any of the stolen apple devices but did provide the IMEI numbers from the carrier which were listed on the boxes.
