Cuyahoga Falls City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Council committee meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in order to allow councilmembers to publicly discuss pending legislation that will be voted on at regular meetings. The public is free to comment on pending legislation during the allowed time set aside as part of committee meetings.

A-81: An ordinance determining to proceed with the acquisition, installation, equipment, and improvement of certain public improvements in the City of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in cooperation with the Akron Summit County Energy Special Improvement District. Finance & Appropriations:
A-76: A resolution accepting the amounts and rates of taxation as certified by the Summit County budget commission, authorizing the necessary tax levies, certifying such authorization to the county fiscal officer. Passed 11-0.
A-77: A resolution approving the petition for special assessments for a special energy improvement project under Ohio Revised Code Chapter 1710 and approving the necessity of acquiring, installing, equipping, and improving certain public improvements in the City of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio in cooperation with the Akron-Summit County Energy Special Improvement District. Passed 11-0.

Miscellaneous Business:
Finance Director Bryan Hoffman presented Report 21 to Council (this is a snapshot of the city’s finances throughout the year). Some of the highlights were the decrease in interest rates and its effect on some of the bonds the city has out; it was anticipated those numbers are being watched and the city is shielding itself for the long term according to Hoffman.
Other items of note were a 3% increase in fuel costs to the street department. In the leisure time fund the Natatorium is showing a 7.6% increase, the golf course is up 4.2% and Water Works was up 8%.
