Cuyahoga Falls City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Council committee meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in order to allow councilmembers to publicly discuss pending legislation that will be voted on at regular meetings. The public is free to comment on pending legislation during the allowed time set aside as part of committee meetings.
On Monday, October 28, the meeting was started by Boy Scout Troop #180 from St. Joseph Parrish leading the Pledge of Allegiance.

A-102: An ordinance authorizing the director of public service to amend Contract No. 8762 with CTI Engineers, Inc., for the water treatment plant improvements. Assigned to the finance committee for discussion November 4.

Miscellaneous Business:
Director of Community Development Diana Colavecchio presented council with her department’s quarterly report. Year to date the city has had $14,105,000 in privately invested projects completed across the city thus far and in this quarter those investments created 62 jobs. Another highlight is that the Summit County Humane Society is almost completed with their new headquarters on Portage Trail Extension and plan their Ribbon Cutting for December 5. Other news shared was that the former Summit County offices / Ohio Bell Building at 2525 State Road will soon be facing the wrecking ball; the Summit County Land Bank received funding for its demolition. As far as year-to-date numbers the city has seen fewer homes constructed this year; however, bringing on a new housing inspector to the community development department, compliance orders have gone up this year with the current year to date total at 86.
