Cuyahoga Falls City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Council committee meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in order to allow councilmembers to publicly discuss pending legislation that will be voted on at regular meetings. The public is free to comment on pending legislation during the allowed time set aside as part of committee meetings.
New legislation:
B-18: An ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of a portion of certain real property at 1821 Munroe Falls Avenue. This ordinance was assigned to the finance committee for discussion Monday, March 17.
B-19: A resolution declaring support for the preservation of the federal tax exemption of municipal bonds. This resolution was assigned to the public affairs committee for discussion Monday, March 17.
B-20: A resolution supporting the renewal of the State Capital Improvement Program on the May 6, 2025 statewide ballot. This resolution was assigned to the public affairs committee for discussion next Monday.
B-21: A resolution declaring the month of March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in the City of Cuyahoga Falls. This resolution was assigned to the public affairs committee for discussion Monday, March 17.

Planning & Zoning:
B-16: An ordinance authorizing and approving the final subdivision plat for the Reserve at Boulder Estate Development located on the southwest corner of State Road and Boulder Boulevard. Passed 11-0.
Miscellaneous Business:
Monday’s meeting included a meeting of Council of the Whole to ratify the mayor’s appointments to the Bipartisan Charter Review commission. The members for this term are as follows: Carol Barbieri from Ward 5, Nikki Cebula from Ward 3, Walter Davis Ward 3, John Flasco Ward 8, Jeff Iula Ward 3, Maria Willis Ward 7, Joshua Witsaman Ward 7. In accordance with our city charter every 5 years a committee is formed to review the city’s charter and recommend changes to City Council, who will review the changes requested by the commission and if council approves the changes they will be forwarded to the board of elections for the voters to decide. City council approved the appointments 9-0.
Katie Semo from the Ohio Auditor of State presented the Cuyahoga Falls finance department with The Auditors award with distinction. This award is for financial reporting and timeliness. Finance Director Bryan Hoffman thanked his staff for their part in making this award possible. It should be noted that only three percent of municipalities in Ohio receive this award every year.
