Cuyahoga Falls City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Council committee meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in order to allow councilmembers to publicly discuss pending legislation that will be voted on at regular meetings. The public is free to comment on pending legislation during the allowed time set aside as part of committee meetings.

A-9: An ordinance authorizing the director of law to enter into settlement of a legal claim. Passed 11-0
Public & Industrial Improvements:
A-10: An ordinance authorizing the director of public service to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, for the annual resurfacing and/or repair of various streets as described in Exhibit ‘A’ attached hereto, in the City of Cuyahoga Falls and authorizing the director of public service to enter into a contract or contracts for pavement preservation on various streets within the city. Passed 11-0.
Public Affairs:
A-12: An ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a NOPEC Energized Community Grant Agreement with Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council, Inc., for energy efficiency or energy infrastructure projects. Passed 11-0.
A-13: An ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract or contracts to transfer real property known as Open Space Block E in the Woodland Preserves Subdivision, Cuyahoga Falls. Passed 11-0.
Finance Director Bryan Hoffman briefed council on his department’s “Report 21,” a snapshot of the city’s finances for the first month of the year. Hoffman stated that they are keeping an eye on municipal taxes for growth this year, however, other communities report the same this far along in the year. Another good point so far this year is that the Natatorium has seen a 3.8% increase of users.
With no new legislation pending, the next city council meeting will be March 9, pending the introduction of new legislation.
