Falls resident and candidate for the 36th District seat of the Ohio State Legislature AJ Harris sat down for a conversation with the Falls Free Press on January 26th in his home in Ward 2. We created this video for our readers to learn about Harris’ background and his campaign platform. Historically, Cuyahoga Falls has produced candidates for this seat—former Ward 5 and at-large Councilman Paul Colavecchio faced the current term-limited, Republican incumbent, Anthony Devitis, in the 2012 election after defeating Clinton resident Jason Cowling in in the Democratic primary, and Noah Spinner, then an 18-year-old whose mother would go on to win a Cuyahoga Falls City Council seat in 2019, lost the Democratic primary to Timothy Piatt of Green in 2018. While we do not mean this feature as an endorsement of AJ Harris’ candidacy, we do wish him well.
