This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available September 30 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.
9-16 While on a traffic stop at Front Street and Broad Boulevard, a known male found to be in possession of an unknown green powder substance admitted to it being Kratom. The substance was packaged in multiple clear plastic baggies and a white pill bottle. The substance was taken back to CFPD and tagged into evidence. The substance was weighed at 452.4 Grams and submitted to BCI with results pending.
9-17 The manager of a woman’s boutique in the 1200 block of Main Street reported that an unknown male and female entered the business, concealed $114.19 worth of merchandise on their persons and crossed beyond the point of sale and exited the store without purchase or consent. The store will pursue charges.
9-18 Police were requested to a convenience store in the 2800 block of State Road where they were met by the manager of the store who reported an individual was asleep at a table inside the store. The same individual was trespassed from the store on December 10, 2025. The manager stated he was willing to prosecute and signed the criminal complaint. The individual was arrested for criminal trespass and released with a summons.
9-20 An unknown passerby reported finding a 23-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man lying under a bicycle in the grass and appearing to be intoxicated. Police located the individual near the intersection of Graham Road and Elmwood Street. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication and transported to Summit County Detox Center.
9-21 A Second Street resident reported that an unknown male driving a white company van knowingly dumped a tire on her property before leaving the area. The resident stated that she does not wish to pursue criminal charges but would like to notify the company of the incident.
9-21 A resident in an apartment building in the 1800 block of Front Street reports that an unknown FedEx driver has been forging his signature for his prescription medications and leaving it in the lobby of his apartment building. The resident has had his medication stolen from the lobby and believes it will happen again. The resident has informed FedEx of the forgery, and it still hasn’t stopped so the individual is willing to sign charges. There are leads.
9-22 Officers observed a vehicle become disabled after hitting a center median while attempting to enter Route 8 north at Broad Boulevard. Officers made contact with the driver, who stated she was coming from a brewery in Akron. Officers observed criminal indicators and the driver consented to field sobriety tests. Ultimately, the driver was arrested for OVI and was transported back to CFPD where she was booked, processed and released to a sober party.
9-25 After witnessing numerous traffic violations, police conducted a traffic stop on Front Street and East Cuyahoga Falls Avenue. Police identified the driver and there were several indications of drug impairment. At the conclusion of sobriety tests, the driver was placed under arrest for OVI. The driver submitted to chemical testing, the results of which are pending lab testing. During a search, prior to tow, officers located an ashtray with burnt marijuana residue and a marijuana cigar transport tube in the vehicle. The driver was charged with OVI, Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia, Marked Lanes and Fail to obey a Traffic Control Device.
9-24 Officers were dispatched to a convenience store in the 300 block of Tallmadge Road in reference to a disorderly conduct call. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the clerk who advised that the male suspect entered the business irate over his gas pump not working and continued to scream at her in front of customers, causing inconvenience and/or annoyance to the general public. The clerk advised that several customers were able to intervene and escort the male suspect out of the business, who then left prior to officer arrival. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the male suspect.
9-25 During a traffic stop on Home Avenue an open air K9 sniff was conducted. The K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. During a search, officers located a cut straw containing white residue. The passenger admitted to using the straw to snort methamphetamines. The passenger was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia (M4).
9-26 A 71-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman reported that she noticed that there was some fraudulent activity going on with her Chase bank account. While she was on the phone with them, she was transferred to whom she thought was their fraud department but instead was a fraudulent number. While on the phone, the male suspect told her she needed to buy $1,000 worth of gift cards and send a picture of them. She did as he asked and sent him pictures of the cards.
9-27 During a traffic stop on Route 8 South near Howe Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls police report that a 32-year-old Wickliffe man obstructed official business by committing the affirmative act of fleeing a traffic stop on foot down the side of the freeway, creating a risk of physical harm to himself and two officers. The man also resisted arrest by fleeing again and by struggling against officers’ attempt to handcuff him after being advised he was under arrest. Cuyahoga Falls police report that the driver was found to be operating a vehicle while impaired after a traffic stop. The man fled on foot and then was caught, transported, processed, and booked into jail. The man refused to provide a breath sample. During a search of the vehicle the man was driving an open container of alcohol was located.
9-29 During a traffic stop on Main Street and Loomis Avenue a driver was found to be driving under suspension and using a fictitious plate. During an inventory of the vehicle the driver was found to be sitting on a blue glass pipe with residue and a plastic baggie of a crystal substance in his bookbag cooler. The driver admitted the substance was methamphetamine and he used the blue glass pipe to smoke it. The methamphetamine field tested positive. The driver was charged and released with a court date. The methamphetamine was sent to BCI for testing. The fictitious temporary tag and blue glass pipe were put into property.
