This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available September 16 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.
9-6 During the investigation of a related report, the arrestee was found to have exited the store without paying for a pair of socks and two Anker power banks, valued at a total of $302.38. The items were recovered on scene. The loss prevention associate signed a complaint for theft against the suspect.
9-7 A resident in the 2500 block of State Road reports that an unknown suspect stole a package from his rear porch containing an iPhone 17E, valued at $1000. The package was delivered September 4 at 12:04pm. A photograph was provided. The phone was delivered via UPS. The victim wishes to pursue criminal charges.
9-8 Police responded to a convenience store in the 600 block of Graham Road where it was reported that a suspect took a bottle of Svedka Vodka, valued at $4.99, put it in his back pocket, and left the store without paying. The manager stated he would prosecute and requested that the suspect be trespassed. The manager signed charges for theft. The suspect was arrested on a failure to appear warrant for disorderly conduct and trespassing through CFPD as well as the new theft charge. He was advised he was not allowed back at business. The suspect was transported to Stow Municipal court on both the warrants and the new charge.
9-10 A 36-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman reported being the victim of an attempted fraud scheme. During the incident, an unknown suspect impersonated a Summit County Sheriff’s deputy and attempted to defraud the woman of $2,500. The woman did not lose any money. There is no suspect and the woman wants to press charges.
9-10 A resident in the 500 block of Lynn Drive reports an unknown person entered his unlocked gray Nissan that was parked in front of his residence and stole approximately $20 worth of miscellaneous change from the cup holder. There were no damages reported. The victim stated he only wanted to document the incident in the event there are similar reports in the area. Prosecution was declined.
9-10 Police took a report in the 1600 block of Union Street where an unknown male entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of the victim and stole approximately $10 in spare change. No restitution requested. The owner requested prosecution.
9-11 Police were called to a woman’s boutique in the 1200 block of Main Street where an employee reported that on September 8 at approximately 3pm, three subjects entered the business. Two female suspects then both stole $133.95 worth of merchandise without rendering payment. The employee did advise that the male who drove the two females bought some items but paid cash. The employee informed the officer that she believed that she was able to locate one of the female suspects through social media but was unable to determine who the other female suspect was at this time. The store did advise that they did wish to prosecute in regard to the matter.
9-11 Police took a report in the 2300 block of 11th Street where the resident reported a suspect knowingly entered his Lincoln MKZ overnight and stole his wallet. The victim’s wallet is valued at $10 and it contained $10 in cash and multiple credit cards. There is a suspect. The victim wants to press charges.
9-13 The manager of a grocery store in the 2600 block of State Road reported that four unidentified juveniles knowingly each took a package of fresh sushi from the counter and proceeded past the point of sale without paying for the items. There were a total of 4 packages taken totaling $36. A spokesman for the store stated that he does not wish to pursue criminal charges at this time; However, he advised that if the juveniles are identified, he would like them to be formally trespassed from the property. There are no leads at this time.
9-14 Cuyahoga Falls Police report an unknown subject entered an unlocked vehicle in the 1600 block of Union Street and stole approximately $10 in US currency. The owner wishes to prosecute but didn’t request restitution.
9-14 A discount store in the 1800 block of Bailey Road reported that sometime between September 7-10, two industrial AC units were stolen from the rear of their building. The stolen units resulted in approximately $18,000 worth of ruined merchandise from in store freezers and refrigerators. Store management stated that they are interested in pursuing charges. There are leads.
