This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available May 20 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

5-8  Police took a report from a 67-year-old Cuyahoga Falls woman who claimed an unknown suspect has been using her credit cards to make online purchases and has created Facebook accounts impersonating her. The victim stated that the suspect made multiple online purchases through Walmart and has stolen approximately $75. The victim stated that she does not know who could be doing this or how they are accessing her accounts. The victim does wish to pursue prosecution at this time.

5-9  Police responded to a fast-food restaurant in the 400 block of Howe Avenue where a known male and female were found to be trespassing. Prosecution was declined by the manager, however both parties were warned for criminal trespass.

5-12  A grocery store in the 2600 block of State Road reports that an unknown male took five (5) bottles of alcohol from the store without paying for the items. The property is valued at $357.95. The store is interested in charges. There is a lead.

5-12  A home improvement store in the 100 block of Graham Road reported to police that an unknown female stole a Richmond’s hot water tank ($569). She had a store associate place it in a cart and she then walked out the door without paying. She can be seen placing the hot water tank into the back of a dark-colored pickup. The store wishes to pursue, and the report number was provided. There are leads. The next day an unidentified employee of the store called the police station at the direction of the company loss prevention office. After cross referencing previous in-store theft records and surveillance footage from this incident, employees believe they have identified the female suspect. There are now suspects.

5-14  Police conducted a traffic stop on a Jeep Wagoner on Bailey Road. Officers observed the vehicle drive off the roadway, hit a tree, hit a fire hydrant and come to a stop in the middle of the roadway. The driver exhibited slurred and slowed speech, the odor of burnt marijuana, and was sweating profusely. Officers spoke with the front passenger who was found to be in possession of an open container. Officers also spoke with the rear passenger who was found to have a warrant that was advised and released. The driver stated to be high on marijuana and had one alcoholic beverage. Officers conducted field sobriety tests on the driver  who was found to be impaired. The driver consented to take a breathalyzer, blood, and urine. The driver had %0.00 on a breath sample. Blood and Urine were taking place at Western Reserve Hospital, with results pending. Officers completed booking and fingerprints at CFPD. The driver was charged with OVI, DUS, FTC, and Open Container and was released to a sober party. The passenger was cited for Open Container and released on scene.

5-18  Police responded to a drugstore in the 2600 block of State Road where a manager reported an unknown female took 40 packs of cigarettes, a bottle of men’s cologne, and a phone charger without paying and without permission to do so. The estimated amount of loss is $537.58. The manager stated that the store would sign charges for theft on behalf of the business. There is one suspect at this time. Cleared without further incident.
