Cuyahoga Falls Police Report: April 15, 2026

This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available April 15 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

4-7  Officers were dispatched to a possible OVI or reckless driver in the area of Broad Boulevard and Chestnut Boulevard. Officers found the vehicle traveling towards State Route 8 and stopped it for an additional marked lanes violation. The driver of the vehicle was found to be operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, and was found to be in possession of a firearm while intoxicated. The driver was brought to CFPD for booking and charges where he submitted a breath sample of .142 BAC. The driver was released to a sober and valid driver with a PR Bond and given a court date with the following charges: Improper Handling of a firearm, Open container in a motor vehicle, and Marked Lanes.

4-8  CFPD responded to a call of a reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Dispatch was given a license plate and a description of a silver Jeep Cherokee. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle as it pulled into the owner’s driveway on Orville Ave. The driver was identified as the car’s owner. There were multiple signs of impairment, including multiple statements made by the driver indicating impairment. In plain view, officers observed open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. The owner refused field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for OVI and cited for open container. The driver was transported to CFPD for booking and refused a breath test. He was released to a sober party.

4-6  Officers were dispatched to a convenience store in the 1200 block of Main Street for an unwanted person. The suspect was asking customers for food or money. On scene officers spoke to management who stated that the suspect was asked multiple times to leave due to bothering customers and he refused. When officers attempted to identify the suspect, he would not provide his ID despite being given multiple chances to provide it. The store manager signed the trespass charge on behalf of the store. The suspect was trespassed, booked, and released on a PR bond.

4-7  Officers responded to a call at a department store in the 400 block of Howe Avenue where loss prevention stated that a male suspect had attempted to steal $51.28 worth of miscellaneous merchandise from this location. Officers arrived on scene where the suspect was placed in custody and was issued a summons for Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

4-8  A convenience store in the 2800 block of State Road requested police after reports that an unknown male took 50 packs of Pokemon trading cards from a display rack and fled the store without paying. The loss was stated to be $349.50. There are leads and prosecution is desired.

4-9  A 28-year-old Cuyahoga Falls man contacted police, reporting that he had been living at an 8th Street address since March 18, 2026 and had rented the property from an unknown male found through an advertisement on Craigslist. The victim reported that he was scammed by the unknown male in regard to signing the lease for the property. He stated that multiple people were coming to the home to view it and found the property was listed for rent on Zillow by Evergreen Live. The victim paid the unknown male $2,175 for rent, deposit and miscellaneous fees. He was contacted by Evergreen who stated that there was no lease agreement. The victim wants to pursue charges for theft. There are leads.

4-10  Police took a report for theft at a home improvement store in the 100 block of Graham Road where an unknown male took a 4K Wi-Fi security camera. The manager stated that the male entered the store, grabbed a box containing the camera, and then jumped over the gates, passing the point of sale without paying for the item. The total value of the item was $358. The manager stated they have had multiple incidents involving the same male stealing items. The manager also stated that she does wish to prosecute.

4-10  An Americana Drive resident reported to police her vehicle, a red Kia, was damaged when an unknown person(s) threw mustard all over the vehicle causing the paint to be damaged. The cost of damages is unknown at this time. There are suspects. Prosecution desired.

4-10  A grocery store in the 2800 block of State Road contacted police after a known suspect stole a rotisserie chicken, valued at $6.99, by eating the chicken in the restroom and leaving the store without paying. It was determined that the suspect had been previously warned for trespass and notified he was banned from the store.The suspect had fled the scene prior to police arrival. Warrants were issued.

4-11  A resident in the 4300 block of State Road reported that his Husqvarna 550H EPOS auto lawnmower valued at $5,000 was taken from his front yard at around 1pm by a known male without permission or consent. The known male then left the area. The victim, with the assistance of the Streetsboro police department, was able to recover his lawn mower. The victim declined prosecution.

4-11  A grocery store in the 2800 block of State Road reported a known suspect did knowingly enter the premises after having been warned the day prior that he was no longer permitted on the property. After entering the property the suspect grabbed a rotisserie chicken and then passed the point of sale without paying. The item cost $6.99. An employee at the store signed a charge for criminal trespass. The suspect was given a summons and a court date. The suspect was advised that he is required to appear for the hearing.

4-12  The manager of a convenience store in the 3900 block of State Road reports an unknown male came into the store, climbed over the counter and pocketed $140.45 worth of merchandise. The cashier confronted the unknown male who emptied his pockets and supposedly returned all of the pocketed items. The male then fled the store in an unknown direction. Prosecution is desired
