This is a sampling of Cuyahoga Falls police reports made available June 11 and is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all events occurring in the city. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.

5-23  A restaurant in the 1900 block of Front Street reports an unknown suspect left the restaurant without paying for his tab of $77.32. The male left on foot in an unknown direction. Prosecution declined.

5-31  During a traffic stop of a vehicle in the 2900 block of State Road, the driver consented to a search of the vehicle. Inside the vehicle a cigarette carton containing a plastic baggie with a crystal-like substance was located. The driver was Mirandaized and admitted the substance was his and was meth. The substance weighed 2 grams gross weight and field tested positive as meth. The driver was charged for Possession of Controlled Substances, his traffic violations, and released from CFPD on a PR bond.

5-31  Officers received a call from a convenience store in the 2000 block of Bailey Road in reference to an intoxicated female falling over in front of the store. Officers contacted the woman who had fallen over in the mulch beds. The woman then advised the officers that she drove to the gas station to get beer. Her vehicle was located in a parking space. The woman was arrested for OVI and booked at the CFPD Jail and released on a PR bond. Her son came to pick her up.

6-4  An auto parts store in the 1600 block of State Road reported that an employee had been looking up customer’s receipts, issuing fraudulent returns and keeping the money from the register. The employee admitted to doing this multiple times and has taken $2,310.74 from the store. The manager signed charges, and the former employee was trespassed from the premises.

6-4  A department store in the 400 block of Howe Avenue reported to police that a shopper opened a package of Monopoly playing cards, worth $32.01, while inside the store and concealed all the packages of cards in his pocket. The customer then left, passing the point of sales. Store management recovered the packs of cards and signed charges. The suspect was cited and released on scene after being trespassed from the store.

6-6  During a traffic stop on State Route 8 and Broad Boulevard police identified the driver and passengers of the vehicle. The front seat passenger was identified as being under the age of 21 and was also discovered to possess 147.7g of marijuana in his book bag. This was located after a probable cause search of the vehicle due to the odor of raw marijuana emanating from inside the car. The passenger was released on scene with a summons.

6-7  During a traffic stop on State Route 8 at Howe Avenue officers observed indicators of impairment on the driver and she was placed through field sobriety tests. The driver was subsequently arrested following the test and processed at the Cuyahoga Falls Jail. The driver provided officers a breath sample and determined her BAC to be .159. The driver was released from jail to a sober party. The vehicle was impounded.

6-8  During a traffic stop on Howe Avenue and Main Street police identified both the driver and the passenger. The passenger was found to be in possession of a white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine located in her purse. The substance weighed 0.6 grams with the baggie and field tested positive for methamphetamine. The substance will be sent to BCI for further testing. The Uber driver allowed officers to check for any further substances in the vehicle but nothing was found. The passenger was booked for Possession of a Controlled Substance and released on PR bond.

6-9  Loss prevention from an auto parts store in the 80 block of Graham Road  reported that on May 20 an employee stole money from the business. Loss prevention reported that the employee created a fake refund for $18.14 and took the money from the refund without the consent from the store. The former employee was arrested for theft and released with a summons on scene.
