City Council News & Politics

Cuyahoga Falls City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Council committee meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in order to allow councilmembers to publicly discuss pending legislation that will be voted on at regular meetings. The public is free to comment on pending legislation during the allowed time set aside as part of committee meetings.

Finance & Appropriations:

Temp. Ord. B-31: An ordinance authorizing the director of public service to enter into a contract or contracts, according to law, for the replacement of the roof at the Municipal Garage in the City of Cuyahoga Falls. This legislation was presented by City Engineer Tony Demasi who started off by stating this item was in this year’s budget for $300K and the best and lowest bidder was AW Ferrell roofing from Garfield Heights who came in at $256,800. Work will begin this summer, and the project is expected to take approximately one month. The existing roof has been in service since the late 90s. The committee voted to bring this out for a vote before all of City Council when it meets again Tuesday, May 27 (due to Monday being the Memorial Day holiday.)
