Cuyahoga Falls City Council holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Council committee meetings are held on the first and third Mondays in order to allow councilmembers to publicly discuss pending legislation that will be voted on at regular meetings. The public is free to comment on pending legislation during the allowed time set aside as part of committee meetings.

Miscellaneous Business:
Community Development director Diana Colavecchio presented the year-end quarterly report. The highlights from that report are that the city ended the year with 264 new jobs for the year (2023 had 383 new jobs). There was also a total of $72,498,000.00 of private investment in the year 2024. Colavecchio also listed some current projects such as the building permit process that will be starting on for former Ponderosa on State Road. The Sheetz at 650 Graham Road will be underway soon and that will happen soon after the DMV relocates to its new home at the corner of State Road and Bath Road. The child care facility that was displaced by the Sheetz project has already found a new home off of Graham road.
Assistant Chief Matt Kee gave a rundown on where the Fire Department is with their memorial in front of Station #1. He said there were struggles at the beginning, but they are finally seeing the light of day and look for the formal dedication this summer.
